A Message From Jeff
Greetings,
As Thanksgiving is approaching, it is a time to reflect on the sources of our bounty and to thank the people who are most important in our careers, businesses, and personal lives.
Many executives struggle with acknowledgement, including self-acknowledgement for personal accomplishments. By this point in the fiscal year, you have either made the plan" or not, you pretty much know how the year is going to turn out, and everyone is creating and finalizing goals, plans and strategies for next year.
This month (November) has been a powerful time for Executive Connections in terms of strategic planning for the future. We evaluate our business model, examine whats working, whats not, and make policy and process changes for the coming year.
It has also been an excellent time for us to reach out to clients, staff, and business friends, to thank them for their contributions to our business during the year. Showing your appreciation, especially to clients and staff, is essential since it closes the loop" of selling, managing, delivering, and completing/acknowledging the work that has been performed.
On behalf of our entire staff, we thank all our clients and friends for their support during this past year and we wish you all a safe, happy Thanksgiving holiday!

What may be missing is not an understanding of the importance of recognitionafter all, the managers are employees, too. Rather, the missing element may be a sense of gratitude. Read the article here.

A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life depend upon the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the measure as I have received and am still receiving."
