Career Opportunity - Chief Financial Officer
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Organization Type: Outsourced Billing/Statement Processing Company

As a leading provider of outsourced billing, transaction statement processing and time sensitive document delivery solutions, the Company leverages its strong information technology and processing capabilities to provide superior service to its clients and enables them to concentrate on their core business functions. Clients include companies in the healthcare, financial services, communications, education, and insurance industries.

The Company's rapid growth and recent acquisition by a private equity firm has created the need for a Chief Financial Officer.

The CFO will be a leader who can integrate well with the current management team, provide senior management with the financial analysis, reporting, and insights required for the Company to continue on its current growth trajectory, and effectively manage the reporting requirements of management, the Board of Directors, the private equity firm, and the Company's lenders. The Chief Financial Officer will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be a key officer within the corporation.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Responsibilities
The CFO will have responsibility over planning, budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting. Specifically, the CFO will:

  • Lead the process of preparing monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements
  • Lead the annual development of the Company’s annual budget with a specific analysis of customer and service line profitability
  • Develop and implement cost accounting best practices, including job-order costing
  • Manage the reporting process to the Board, including the development of financial monitoring tools and metrics to better enable management and the Board to understand the financial position of the Company
  • Assist management in evaluating new business opportunities and in completing Request for Proposals (RFPs) as necessary to win desirable new programs
  • Actively manage and improve working capital efficiency to increase Company cash flow
  • Provide internal audit functions to ensure the accuracy of labor, material, and expense reporting
  • Manage the relationship with the Company’s lender, including adherence to monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting requirements
  • Be responsible for tactical and strategic financial planning
  • Play a critical role in managing the Company’s analysis and integration of acquisitions

REQUIREMENTS

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and a CPA is required.
An MBA or other advanced degree is desirable, but not required.

Experience
The ideal candidate will have significant financial analysis experience in cost-accounting, inventory and receivables management, and overall working capital management in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • 5+ years experience as a CFO in a smaller company or as a divisional CFO / controller in a larger company.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems – Candidate must have the desire and experience to help develop appropriate financial processes, systems, and controls.
  • Mergers and acquisitions experience is desirable.
