This Global Digital/Interactive Practice is a new business within one of the leading Global Consulting firms established in 2009 to help companies develop world-class digital marketing capabilities and optimize online/offline investments on the journey toward agile, intelligent marketing. Our services cover all aspects of digital consulting, marketing analytics and media management. Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of and proven experience across a wide range of interactive marketing disciplines, with experience defining and driving innovative and/or transformational initiatives to deliver demonstrable business value. The candidate will possess the ability to engage effectively with and inspire confidence among senior-level client executives as well as hands-on functional practitioners and the Company team members in order to create and sell value-based digital strategies and programs that leverage the Company’s Interactive Practice digital marketing assets and other leading/bleeding edge methods and technologies. The ideal candidate will balance extensive hands-on leadership experience in technology-enabled interactive marketing, yet will recognize the profound opportunities associated with and the need for game-changing approaches that break from conventional practices.

Role definition:
The candidate will serve as a key executive leader for the North America region of the Company’s Interactive Digital Consulting practice. Ideally based in the digital/metro hub such as: Boston, New York, Chicago and San Francisco areas, the candidate will have two principle leadership responsibilities, including:
- Drive accelerated sales and revenue growth consistent with profitability objectives through focused business development activities centered around the North America region; and
- Provide effective and inspiring leadership and development for the Company’s Digital Consulting team.
Driving accelerated business growth will require proven experience in the definition and execution of large-scale interactive marketing and related technology initiatives. The candidate must have demonstrable experience with proven success in identifying, qualifying, structuring and executing large-scale transformational initiatives. This may be demonstrated through experience as a line executive with responsibility for large-scale programs and significant business operations, or as a senior level consultant with lead responsibility for structuring and executing large-scale initiatives.
Building, developing and inspiring a team will require proven experience in and passion for cultivating the potential of team members, and building a collaborative team environment that unleashes the passion and potential of each team member to the mutual benefit of our clients, our practice, and our team members.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Identifying, qualifying, pursuing and closing desirable business opportunities. This will include spearheading the process of designing and specifying approaches and proposals to drive client value through transformational digital marketing capability building. This will involve charting pragmatic, value-driven journeys toward agile & intelligent interactive marketing that capitalize on the Company’s Interactive game-changing point of view and proprietary methods, analytics and technology innovations.
- Helping to define and refine the Company’s offerings in this space, ensuring that they are world-class and differentiated and address client’s needs and opportunities.
- Oversee the delivery of client engagements through hands-on leadership in projects including:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients while managing the Company’s Interactive Digital Strategists, Solution Architects and deep digital marketing subject matter experts to define the appropriate digital strategy and execution roadmap, including overseeing the delivery of:
- Detailed analyses to gain a keen understanding of the client situation, global digital marketing strategy including identification of potential value creating opportunities such as MROI, business cases, etc.
- Requirements to ensure that digital marketing vision and recommendation translate to (and leverage) the Company’s Interactive assets, products and services.
- Cohesive conclusions and presentation of key findings at the executive level
- Strategy development and solution development to support new business activities and existing client relationships
- Working with other Senior Executives to fully leverage solutions, client references, and personnel across the practice and firm. This will include working closely with the Company’s Operating Groups. Participate actively in the cultivation of an effective network across the Company’s organization to help drive value for our clients.
- Oversee assigned business operations and team building initiatives while demonstrating a keen interest in promoting high-performance among assigned personnel with an inspiring and collegial team-oriented working context.
Qualifications:
Education: B.S., B.A. or equivalent in technical, marketing, or economics/business area with M.B.A. or other graduate degree in a relevant area of study is preferred.
- Oversee assigned business operations and team building initiatives while demonstrating a keen interest in promoting high-performance among assigned personnel with an inspiring and collegial team-oriented working context.
- 10+ years progressive leadership experience in a top-tier interactive marketing consultancy, digital agency or marketing services firm with demonstrable success in defining and driving comprehensive programs to transform interactive marketing capabilities and deliver concrete business value.
- 10+ year’s progressive leadership experience as a line executive with direct strategic and operational responsibility for interactive marketing and related operations and/or technologies (preferably including one or more high-profile organizations with a reputation for digital or interactive marketing sophistication and success).
- Ability to work autonomously in a strategic and consultative selling and business development capacity with proven access to and high degree of comfort in C-level client interactions.
- Working knowledge of digital marketing channels (web sites, search, online advertising/media, social networking/social media, UGC such as blogs and wikis, email, mobile, web analytics and enabling technologies(such as CMS, DAM, Faceted/Enterprise Search, optimization applications, etc) as well as related operations and processes for digital production and solution and campaign execution.
- Experience with defining high level enterprise digital architectures to support strategy recommendations.
- Experience with developing large scale strategy for global solutions for Fortune 500 clients.
- Masters level education from highly reputable program preferred (MBA or relevant technical degree).
- Client relationship skills and strong business development acumen.
- Experience in requirements definition and implementation for large scale projects.
- Experience working in digital marketing and/or development environments and applying digital marketing and development best practices.
- Experienced and comfortable working in a matrixed multinational environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment able to manage ambiguity and change while simultaneously partnering with teammates at all levels to deliver value to clients.
- A strategic thinker – able to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) and influence both CEO’s and Senior Executives.
- Strong executive presence, polish, and persuasive and articulate speaker.
